City Government of General Santos City Gearing towards ISO Certification
Mid last year, the Local Government Unit of General Santos City aimed to establish its Quality Management System certifiable to ISO 9001:2015 and has gradually integrated into its processes the “quality” way of life through review and documentation of different processes aiming to provide quality services and satisfy the customers.
With the recently concluded Internal Quality Audit, the city government is now preparing for a tougher and real challenge — passing the third party audit who will certify the LGU as ISO certified once all requirements have been passed. The city government through the QMS Coordinating Center is now preparing for the procurement of the 3rd party certifying body that will conduct the Stage 1 & Stage 2 Audits as well as Surveillance Audit for two (2) consecutive years. On the other hand, LGU-Gensan will still continue with its training as part of its Consultation Services activities such as the Root-Cause Analysis and Effective Correction Action followed by a final consultation.
